The KLS Martin ME MB1 electronic scalpel, an indispensable reference in endoscopy, combines ease of use with exceptional value for money. Designed for precision and versatility, this unit offers a controlled "endo" cutting mode and NE (Neutral Electrode) monitoring technology for increased patient safety and complete confidence among healthcare professionals.

Description

KLS Martin ME MB1 Electrosurgical Unit: Advanced Performance for Surgical Interventions.

The KLS Martin ME MB1 electronic scalpel is equipped with the integrated KLS Martin Patient Control System (PCS), ensuring utmost safety for patients during surgical procedures. This advanced system automatically adjusts to tissue impedances, eliminating the risk of burns on the patient's skin. It can recognize single and twin-pad neutral electrodes, continuously monitoring their proper application. In the event of insufficient contact between the electrode and the patient's skin, the system alerts the user with an optical signal and cuts off power to prevent any potential harm.

Upon activation, the KLS Martin ME MB1 undergoes a thorough self-test to ensure its flawless functionality. If any fault is detected during the self-test, the unit immediately blocks HF power output, signaling that it cannot be operated until the issue is resolved. This stringent self-check mechanism guarantees that the ME MB1 is only used when it is in perfect working condition, ensuring reliability and patient safety. Additionally, all connected accessories undergo scrutiny during the self-test to ensure their proper functioning.

The Endo-Mode feature of the ME MB1 allows for a time-controlled cutting mode that can be activated as needed. This mode offers a fractionated and controlled cut, particularly beneficial for specialized applications such as endoscopy. When dealing with pedicled tumors during procedures like endoscopic polypectomy or endoscopic papillotomy, precise control over the cutting process is essential. The ME MB1 provides a short, intensive pulse at the beginning of the cut to accommodate for changing impedances during thermal dissection.

Simultaneously, it maintains sufficient coagulation capability to ensure proper hemostasis, facilitating optimal surgical outcomes in endoscopic interventions.

The KLS Martin ME MB1 unit features a connector that facilitates the connection of monopolar hand switches, which are compatible with either a large KLS Martin coaxial connector or a US 3-pin connector. With KLS Martin's comprehensive range of HF accessories, surgeons have access to a wide selection of handles tailored to various surgical applications. Specifically designed for the ME MB1, these buttons enable cutting and coagulating functions using a single foot switch, enhancing surgical convenience and efficiency.

Expanding its functionality, the ME MB1 offers a "Bipolar coagulation" option, rounding off its power range. KLS Martin's reliable bipolar coagulation function ensures the utmost precision and maximum safety, even when dealing with large volumes of tissue. This feature provides surgeons with the confidence to achieve optimal hemostasis while maintaining control and safety throughout the procedure.

Furthermore, the ME MB1 is equipped with a bipolar active electrode socket combined with the small coax-plug (KLS Martin standard) or international accessories. This configuration allows for seamless integration of bipolar instruments, offering surgeons flexibility and versatility in their surgical approach. With these advanced features and functionalities, the KLS Martin ME MB1 empowers surgeons to perform procedures with precision, safety, and efficiency, meeting the diverse needs of modern surgical practices.
