The Embryosafe iREF 1.2 microbiological safety cabinet from Bioair has been specifically developed to meet the most stringent requirements for embryonic cell culture and in vitro fertilisation (IVF). Thanks to its vertical laminar flow technology and high-efficiency recirculation system, it creates an ultra-clean ISO 5 working environment, ensuring stable experimental conditions and safety for cells, operators and the environment.
The central element of the Embryosafe iREF 1.2 is its integrated heated work surface, which uses ThermoHeat technology with PID control. This innovation maintains a uniform temperature across the entire surface and glass sample stage, ensuring thermal accuracy of ±1 °C. A stable temperature is essential for the proper development of embryonic cells and the reproducibility of results. In addition, the workstation can accommodate an Olympus SZX10 or SZX16 stereoscopic microscope directly in the workspace without compromising sterility, providing real-time visualisation without interrupting the aseptic chain.
Safety is ensured by the design, which complies with EN12469:2000, offering protection equivalent to that of Class II cabinets, even in the presence of microscopes. The system includes a microprocessor-controlled motor with volumetric sensors that monitor air flow, ensuring exceptional stability even in the event of gradual filter clogging. Two HEPA H14 filters offer 99.999% efficiency for particles of 0.3 µm, ensuring maximum air purification.
The user-friendly interface with membrane keypad and large display screen allows intuitive control of all parameters. Multi-segment alarms, airflow alerts, power failure notifications and semi-automatic fumigation cycles add an extra level of safety. Particular attention has been paid to maintenance, with front access for filter replacement and a removable work surface for easy maintenance and replacement of the microscope.
