Description

The PAL-ID - Engraving Inspection

This instrument revolutionizes the inspection of engravings on optical lenses. These laser engravings are crucial for determining essential information such as fitting reference points, addition values, lens material, manufacturer, and specific style. However, these engravings can often be difficult to discern with the naked eye.

This system illuminates, magnifies, and even enhances the subtlest engravings present on progressive addition lenses (PAL).

The use of PAL-ID greatly simplifies the search and identification of markings on lenses. This is particularly beneficial for progressive addition lenses, where markings are often less visible. The device is equipped with three key elements:

    • The magnifier: Allows for enlarging the markings for a more detailed inspection.

    • The filter: Provides better distinction between different glass materials (organic, polycarbonate, or mineral).

    • The power switch: Activates the device for easy use.

The PAL-ID engraving identifier comes with two different filters to accommodate various types of lenses:

    • Filter for organic or polycarbonate lenses
    • Filter for mineral lenses

By offering quick and accurate identification of surface markings, PAL-ID enhances the efficiency of the lens inspection process and enables customers to recognize the manufacturer's signature.
