Kaps SOM-62: Precision for ENT Examinations
The Kaps SOM-62 is a diagnostic microscope designed for ENT examinations and minor surgical procedures. Its compact design and rolling stand make it easy to integrate into medical practices, ensuring optimal comfort for the operator and fast, accurate diagnostics for patients.
Equipped with an apochromatic optical system, the SOM-62 delivers high-quality three-dimensional imaging, with outstanding color accuracy and exceptional depth of field. It offers great versatility, featuring multiple magnification options (3-step, 5-step, or manual zoom from 1 to 6 levels) and interchangeable lenses ranging from 200 mm to 400 mm.
The microscope comes with coaxial cold light (15V/150W) or halogen (12V/100W) illumination, ensuring optimal visibility of anatomical structures without excessive heat. An optional green filter and iris diaphragm enhance contrast and refine observations.
Designed for ergonomic efficiency, the SOM-62 features a 40 mm manual fine focus system, allowing effortless precision adjustments. The binocular tubes are available in different configurations, including straight tubes (f = 125 mm or f = 159 mm) and an articulated tube (f = 182 mm, 0-210°) for greater user comfort.
The SOM-62 is highly adaptable, offering multiple mounting options: wall mount, ceiling mount, integration with ENT units, or a rolling stand. This modularity ensures efficient space management while maintaining full mobility.
To facilitate documentation of examinations, the SOM-62 is compatible with various video capture systems. It can be equipped with an integrated Vision video camera (CCD 1/4”, Y/C, FBAS, 752 x 582 PAL) or support C-Mount cameras via a beam splitter and TV tube. Additionally, it includes an integrated endoscopic adapter, making it compatible with existing endoscopic cameras.
The Kaps SOM-62 is a high-performance ENT examination microscope, offering maximum flexibility, comfort, and precision. Its advanced optics, powerful illumination, and multiple integration options make it an essential tool for ENT specialists looking to enhance diagnostic accuracy.
