EUP-C314G: a Reliable Convex Probe for a Variety of Ultrasound Examinations
The Hitachi EUP-C314G probe is part of the range of convex probes compatible with the EUB-405 Plus ultrasound scanner. Designed to meet the needs of general, abdominal, gynaecological and urological imaging, it adapts to different clinical situations requiring a wide view and effective tissue penetration. It allows ultrasound examinations to be performed with a good compromise between depth and image definition, particularly in the abdominal and pelvic regions.
From an acoustic point of view, the EUP-C314G probe operates in B and M modes with controlled sound intensities. In B mode, the average spatial intensity (ASTI) reaches 4.6 mW/cm² and 12 mW/cm² in water, while the maximum spatial pulse intensity (ASPPI) is 75 W/cm² in tissue and 170 W/cm² in water. In M mode, the values change to 24 mW/cm² (ISPTA in situ) and 53 mW/cm² (ISPTA in water), with an identical ISPPA of 75 W/cm² in fabric and 170 W/cm² in water. The mechanical index remains constant at 0.70, ensuring a level of safety compatible with regulatory recommendations.
The EUP-C314G probe is suitable for abdominal, neonatal cephalic, gynaecological, urological and paediatric applications. It provides clear visualisation of deep structures while limiting the patient's sound exposure, making it a reliable and responsible tool for everyday use. Thanks to its convex geometry, it is also suitable for exploring internal organs with a wide angular coverage, ideal for comprehensive examination of complex areas.
Its ergonomic design and compatibility with the B/M modes of the EUB-405 Plus system enable smooth image recording and easy handling by healthcare professionals. It can also be integrated into a system with options such as multi-image memory or an RS-232-C port for printing or exporting data.
The EUP-C314G is a functional, simple and effective solution for medical facilities wishing to perform conventional ultrasound examinations with a safe, proven and well-documented acoustic probe.
