Evone: End-to-End Controlled Ventilation thanks to FCV®
The Evone® is the first mechanical ventilator to offer fully controlled ventilation throughout the entire respiratory cycle. Its Flow-Controlled Ventilation (FCV®) technology maintains a constant flow during both inspiration and expiration, ensuring linear variations in volume and pressure. This active regulation of exhalation prevents sudden drops in intrathoracic pressure and optimises gas distribution in the lungs. The system also allows for accurate dynamic measurements during both respiratory phases, providing reliable data to tailor ventilation to each patient's specific needs.
Clinical Applications and Medical Benefits
The Evone® is intended for use on patients weighing more than 40 kg in operating theatres or intensive care units. It is particularly effective during ENT procedures (laryngectomy, tracheal surgery), lung resection, single-lung ventilation or critical situations such as CICO (cannot intubate, cannot oxygenate). Thanks to its compatibility with Tritube® and the conventional endotracheal tube adapter (CTA), it allows optimal ventilation even with extremely narrow airways. Clinical studies show that FCV® improves lung recruitment, reduces atelectasis, optimises gas exchange and decreases energy dissipation in the lungs, thereby helping to limit ventilation-induced lung injury.
Versatility and Enhanced Safety
The Evone® can ventilate via small or large calibre endotracheal tubes, including double-lumen tubes for single-lung ventilation. It also offers a high-frequency jet ventilation mode, which can be used with Tritube® and an open airway to promote post-operative weaning and stimulate spontaneous breathing. Its ability to measure intratracheal pressure directly in real time ensures accurate calculation of energy dissipation, enabling truly protective ventilation for the lung tissue. With its unique technology, the Evone® provides medical teams with a reliable, flexible and safe tool for managing complex and delicate respiratory situations.
