The Visionix VX 80 - optics and functionality.

Its compact and elegant design houses advanced anti-reflective optics, ensuring efficient light transmission and exceptional image quality. Users enjoy complete freedom to adjust the width, height, and rotation of the slit, facilitating the customization of each examination based on the specific needs of the patient.

Choosing between three or five levels of magnification offers increased versatility, while the ocular system, providing a parallel or convergent option, ensures optimal comfort for every practitioner. The intuitive use of the yellow filter to enhance contrasts during fluorescein observations is another distinctive feature of the VX 80.

Unique features of this slit lamp include a joystick base designed for one-handed use, high-quality LED illumination with constant brightness, and easy control of horizontal movement and height, allowing for smooth and precise manipulation.

The VX 80 incorporates a tiltable lighting system, providing an optimal view from the front of the cornea to the back of the crystalline lens. Integrated filters, such as cobalt blue for fluorescence, green for red-free, gray, and yellow, further enrich the possibilities of observation.

For efficient examination capture and documentation, the VX 80 is compatible with Eyepix 3 solution. Combining a digital video camera and data processing software, Eyepix 3 offers real-time visualization of results on-screen, facilitating transparent communication with patients.

In terms of technical specifications, the VX 80 offers a continuously adjustable slit width from 0 to 14 mm and a slit length from 1 to 12 mm. Slit apertures include 12; 9; 5; 3; 1; 0.2 mm, with a Tyndall point of Ø 0.2 mm. Slit rotation is ± 90° continuously using the TABO scheme. The working distance is 88 millimeters, with an average viewing height of 375 millimeters.
