FA580 Spectrophotometer – Precision performance for your spectral analyses
The FA580 spectrophotometer from Faithful is an effective choice for laboratories seeking reliable photometric measurements across a wide wavelength range, from 190 to 1100 nm. Designed with a dual-beam architecture, it is based on a 1200 lines per millimetre diffraction grating, enabling fine light separation and excellent optical resolution. Its 1 nm bandwidth facilitates detailed analyses, which are essential for sensitive applications in biology, chemistry, pharmaceuticals and quality control.
Thanks to its 7-inch TFT LCD screen, users benefit from a clear, detailed and easy-to-use visual interface. The FA580 stands out for its excellent stability (±0.0003 A/h at 500 nm) and low stray light (<0.03% at 220 nm and 360 nm), ensuring consistent results. Measurementaccuracy and repeatability are also guaranteed, with photometric accuracy of up to ±0.002 A for absorbance values between 0 and 0.5, and repeatability of 0.001 Abs over the same interval.
The FA580's design also facilitates maintenance and everyday use. Its lamp system (deuterium and tungsten) is pre-aligned, allowing for quick and easy replacement without complex recalibration. The internal components are protected by an optical mirror coated with SiO₂, minimising the risk of external contamination.
The spectrophotometer also features an internal verification system that complies with GLP (Good Laboratory Practice) requirements, ensuring integrated quality control. For connectivity, it is equipped with USB ports for data export to a USB stick or direct printing, as well as a USB-B port for connection to a computer.
The FA580 can be combined with various optional measuring compartments, such as a holder for automatic cuvettes, a holder for solid samples, a microcell holder or a 100 mm cuvette holder, extending its versatility for numerous experimental configurations.
