The FC1200 is an innovative recirculating chiller from Julabo's FC series, incorporating a heating capacity that significantly extends its operating temperature range. With remarkable thermal stability of ±0.2°C, it is specially designed for tasks requiring precise temperature control, ranging from -20 to +80°C. Its stainless steel tank provides excellent corrosion resistance and ensures a long product life. The PID control system guarantees fine temperature regulation, assisted by a dual LED display and a waterproof keypad interface. These features facilitate quick, intuitive and safe operation of the device.
The FC1200 is equipped with protective features such as a high/low temperature alarm with audible warning, frost protection and dry-running protection. These features ensure maximum safety for both the user and the samples being processed. It also has a pump activation system for filling, making the commissioning process quick and easy.
In terms of performance, the chiller offers a heating capacity of 1.2 kW and a pump capacity of up to 20 l/min at a pressure of 7.3 psi. Its cooling capacity varies depending on the temperature, reaching 1.3 kW at 10°C and 0.37 kW at -10°C with ethanol as the bath fluid. It uses an air-cooled compressor and R134a refrigerant, which has a global warming potential (GWP) of 1430, with a charge of 720 g, equivalent to 1.0296 tonnes of CO₂.
