FD 23: Precision Thermal Performance for Demanding Medical Applications
In medical laboratories, rigorous control of thermal parameters is essential to ensure the reliability of drying, sterilisation or heat treatment procedures. The Binder FD 23 oven meets these requirements precisely thanks to its APT.line™ technology, which ensures homogeneous heat distribution throughout the interior chamber. This compact 20-litre model achieves remarkable thermal stability, even during treatments at 150 °C, with spatial variation limited to ±2.5 K and temporal variation to ±0.3 K.
The forced convection system accelerates the drying process with an air exchange rate of 64 cycles per hour, while maintaining perfect uniformity. The integrated fan allows rapid temperature rise (150°C reached in 25 minutes) and efficient recovery after opening the door (6 minutes). These performance features save valuable time in daily procedures.
The design includes an adjustable class 2 safety thermostat in accordance with DIN 12880, enhancing the safety of sensitive samples. Two chrome-plated wire shelves are included, with the option of adding two more to maximise space utilisation.
The FD 23 is particularly suitable for medical environments where compactness, precision and reliability are essential, especially in biology, sterilisation or experimentation departments. Its low energy consumption (300 Wh/h at 150 °C) and excellent insulation reduce operating costs. Compact, robust and powerful, the FD 23 fits perfectly into any medical workspace or research laboratory, while ensuring consistent and reproducible results.
The FD 23 is designed to offer high reliability in regulated environments such as hospital laboratories, biomedical research centres and pharmaceutical facilities. Its compliance with thermal safety standards (DIN 12880) makes it a suitable choice for sensitive protocols requiring strict temperature traceability.
