Fisco-1S-A: bench-top reactor for demanding laboratory applications
The Fluko Fisco-1S-A is a bench-top reactor specially designed to meet the needs of R&D laboratories wishing to simulate industrial production conditions on a small scale. This system offers a working capacity of up to 1 litre, perfectly suited to formulation testing and process studies requiring high precision. Its design allows complex operations such as dispersion, emulsification, homogenisation and mixing of high-viscosity substances to be carried out, even under vacuum or pressure conditions.
The Fisco-1S-A features an efficient and quiet mixing motor with an adjustable speed range of up to 600 rpm, ensuring homogeneous agitation regardless of the nature of the product being processed. The system is equipped with a standard scraper agitator, ensuring good temperature distribution and preventing material build-up on the inner walls. The device is capable of handling viscosities up to 100,000 cP, making it suitable for complex or concentrated formulations.
Thanks to a high-performance vacuum closure system reaching ~0.082 MPa, the Fisco-1S-A limits the risk of oxidation or external contamination, while facilitating the introduction or removal of product via its multiple openings. These include an opening for a thermometer, one for the vacuum, and three additional openings for adapters or probes.
The reactor is made from high-quality materials, including SS316L stainless steel, borosilicate glass and FKM/PTFE seals, ensuring high chemical and thermal resistance. Its integrated thermal control system allows temperatures of up to 120°C to be reached, and its compatibility with environments between -20°C and 40°C makes it versatile for many applications.
Thanks to its compact dimensions (470 × 420 × 1200 mm) and weight of approximately 35 kg, the Fisco-1S-A fits easily into any laboratory space. It is suitable for use in the pharmaceutical, food, cosmetics, fine chemicals and materials industries.
