Fisco-5S-A Laboratory Reactor

The Fluko Fisco-5S-A is a laboratory reactor designed for dispersion, emulsification, homogenisation and mixing processes under vacuum or pressurised conditions. With an emulsification capacity of up to 5,000 mL and compatibility with fluids up to 100,000 cP viscosity, this system is suitable for the pharmaceutical, chemical, cosmetic and food industries. It features a mixing motor and high-speed homogeniser, a heating system up to 120°C, and a complete set of openings for precise process control.

Description

Fisco-5S-A – A versatile and high-performance laboratory reactor for R&D

The Fluko Fisco-5S-A is a laboratory reactor system designed to perform a variety of operations such as mixing, emulsification, homogenisation and dispersion under controlled conditions. Capable of operating under vacuum and at high temperatures, this model is designed to simulate pilot-scale production environments. It is particularly suitable for development laboratories in the chemical, pharmaceutical, food and personal care industries.

This reactor is powered by a standard 220 V / 50 Hz supply. It has a minimum mixing capacity of 1,000 mL, an emulsification capacity of 2,000 mL, and a maximum volume of 5,000 mL for emulsification. The operating temperature can reach 120°C, with an ambient tolerance ranging from 5°C to 40°C. The device is designed to operate under vacuum at -0.092 MPa, which guarantees the stability of processes sensitive to oxidation or humidity.

The Fisco-5S-A incorporates a 50 W mixing motor with a speed range of 10 to 200 rpm. It is equipped with a spiral ribbon agitator with scraper, ideal for ensuring homogeneous mixing in high-viscosity fluids up to 100,000 cP. The 500 W homogeniser offers speeds of 10,000 to 28,000 rpm, enabling fine fragmentation and rapid emulsification thanks to a 25DG agitator.

The reactor cover has several openings: one for the homogeniser with hopper, one for a thermometer, one for vacuum, and three additional openings for probes or custom connections. The tank rests on a column with a lifting height of 300 mm, facilitating access and handling.

The materials in contact with the products are carefully selected for their chemical compatibility and durability: silicon nitride (SiC), SS316L stainless steel and borosilicate glass. The seals are made of FKM and PTFE, ensuring good resistance to aggressive chemical environments.

This model is designed to integrate easily into laboratory environments, with compact dimensions of 470 × 420 × 1200 mm and a weight of approximately 42 kg.
