Fluoroscan InSight FD – Mini flat panel detector for extremity examinations

The core of the system is its high-sensitivity flat panel detector with CMOS technology combined with a CsI scintillator. This combination ensures an image resolution of 2k x 1.5k with 75-micron pixels, providing remarkable detail. Users can choose between several acquisition modes – high resolution, low dose, automatic or manual – to adapt the image quality level to specific clinical needs and radiation protection requirements. The Low Dose mode, in particular, reduces doses by more than 50% while maintaining clinically equivalent image quality, in accordance with ALARA requirements.
The user experience has been greatly optimised thanks to an intuitive software interface, colour-coded buttons, manual worklist entry and an articulated monitor arm with a 24-inch high-definition touchscreen (1920 x 1200). The keyboard is integrated into the screen for easy operation, even in confined environments. The monitor is mounted on a 350° swivel arm, allowing viewing from any angle with increased comfort. The reinforced locking system and reduced rails facilitate transport while reducing the footprint in the operating theatre.
Images can be acquired in snapshot mode, continuous fluoroscopy or cine mode (digital video). Storage is on an SSD with a capacity of 10,000 images and up to 500 images per case. The Fluoroscan InSight FD also offers powerful imaging tools such as zoom, pan, image rotation, automatic noise processing andcontour enhancement. Users can configure display preferences for personalised ergonomics.
The system is DICOM-compatible for sending, printing, worklist management and storage commitment. It also allows export in JPEG, TIFF, DICOM and native formats via USB and CD/DVD ports. Optionally, it can be equipped with a wired or wireless foot pedal stand and various Sony thermal printers.
