G1315C Diode Array Detector – Precision optics for HPLC
Agilent's G1315C detector, a key component of the 1260 Infinity range, embodies precision, flexibility and robustness in the world of UV/Vis detection in liquid chromatography. Designed to meet the demands of high-resolution analysis, this model incorporates 1024-element diode array detection technology combined with a dual light source (deuterium lamp for UV and tungsten lamp for visible) for complete spectral coverage from 190 to 950 nm.
One of its strengths is its acquisition rate of up to 80 Hz, enabling the analysis of samples in fast-paced UHPLC applications. Thanks to its programmable variable slit (1 to 16 nm), the G1315C allows the spectral resolution to be precisely adjusted to suit analytical requirements, while optimising sensitivity and linearity. Each spectrograph is individually calibrated, ensuring excellent reproducibility between instruments.
One of the major advantages of the G1315C is its integration of consumable management technologies: all flow cells and UV lamps are equipped with RFID tags. This allows automatic tracking of characteristics (volume, optical path length, serial number) and usage history, ensuring compliance with GLP (Good Laboratory Practice) requirements. An integrated holmium oxide filter allows quick verification of wavelength accuracy, while electronic temperature control ensures excellent baseline stability.
In terms of maintenance, the G1315C is designed for direct access to the flow cell and lamps via a front door. It is compatible with a wide range of interchangeable detection cells (standard, micro, semi-micro, high pressure, etc.), offering great flexibility for all types of analytical applications. It also supports analogue output signals, CAN interface, RS-232 and remote control via LAN.
Its seamless integration with Agilent ChemStation software or the Instant Pilot interface enables optimised method and diagnostic management, thanks in particular to the EMF (Early Maintenance Feedback) system, which alerts the user when the lamp has reached the end of its service life or when maintenance is required.
This detector is therefore perfectly suited to pharmaceutical, environmental, food and academic environments where reliability, spectral accuracy and traceability are essential.
