G1379B Degasser - Good Condition

Agilent's G1379B is a high-performance micro-vacuum degasser designed for low-flow HPLC systems. With four independent channels, this module uses micro-structured membranes to effectively remove dissolved gases from solvents, improving flow stability and the reproducibility of chromatographic analyses. Integrated into Agilent 1260 Infinity systems, it guarantees quiet operation, full compatibility with a wide range of solvents (pH 1–14), and optimised performance through precise pressure control. It is essential for sensitive LC applications such as low UV detection, fluorescence or mass spectrometry.

Description

Agilent 1260 Infinity Micro Degasser G1379B: An effective solution for removing dissolved gases in chromatography

The G1379B Agilent 1260 Infinity Micro Degasser is an essential module for any high-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) system requiring accurate and consistent removal of dissolved gases from solvents. Integrated into the Agilent 1260 Infinity range, this state-of-the-art degasser has been designed to meet the most stringent requirements of modern laboratories, particularly those using sensitive detectors or working at very low flow rates.

This model is based on a four-channel independent architecture. Each channel is equipped with a micro-structured membrane through which the solvents flow. Under the effect of a partial pressure created by an electronically controlled vacuum pump, the dissolved gases pass through these membranes and are evacuated into a vacuum chamber, leaving the solvents virtually bubble-free. This process significantly improves flow stability, retention time reproducibility and injection accuracy.

The G1379B is powered by a constant speed pump and a proportional valve control system, which dynamically adjusts the leak flow rate to maintain a stable pressure in the vacuum chambers. This precision meets the critical requirements of LC/MS applications, low wavelength UV detectors and analyses requiring low signal variability.

This degasser is particularly recommended for applications requiring low flow rates (less than 0.5 ml/min), for fluorescence or electrochemical detectors, and for any system requiring maximum precision in analytical measurement. It also eliminates the negative effects of dissolved gases, such as background noise, baseline drift and degradation of oxygen-sensitive samples.

Robust and compact, the G1379B fits easily into an Agilent stacked configuration. Its modular design also allows for simplified maintenance, with easily replaceable components such as fuses, covers and status indicators. In addition, for the most demanding applications, two channels can be connected in series to increase the level of degassing.

The G1379B also features a simple interface and easy integration into existing systems via standard cables or RS-232 for advanced diagnostics. The front-panel status indicator allows quick visualisation of the module status (ready, start-up, error).

The G1379B degasser ensures unrivalled flow stability and analytical accuracy in high-performance HPLC systems, while guaranteeing safety, compactness and ease of use.
