NBV 15 S Direct Radiation UV-C Lamp: Targeted and Effective Disinfection for Sensitive Environments
The NBV 15 S is a direct radiation germicidal lamp from UltraViol, specifically designed to raise the level of microbiological purity in areas exposed to airborne pathogens. By emitting UV-C light at 253.7 nm, this lamp neutralises microorganisms present in the air and on surfaces within a defined area without the use of forced air flows. Its direct action effectively limits the risk of primary and secondary infections, particularly in hospitals and intensive care units, where the control of infectious agents is essential.
Mounted on the ceiling, the NBV 15 S fits discreetly into professional environments without taking up floor space. Equipped with a 50 cm mounting arm and an external 15 W UV-C bulb (Philips or Osram), it guarantees uniform light diffusion over an area of 6 to 8 m². Its radiation intensity at one metre is 0.9 W/m², ensuring targeted disinfection in small spaces.
The powder-coated aluminium housing, combined with a high-quality internal aluminium reflector, maximises reflection and therefore the efficiency of the radiation. The lamp has no hour counter or switch, which means that its operation must be managed externally. It is designed to operate in ambient conditions between +10°C and +40°C, with relative humidity of 30% to 70% and atmospheric pressure ranging from 700 to 1060 hPa.
The NBV 15 S is only recommended for use when there are no people, animals or plants in the room to avoid harmful exposure to UV-C radiation. It is mainly intended for healthcare facilities (operating theatres, examination rooms, isolation rooms), but can also be used in medical laboratories, pharmacies, and the pharmaceutical, cosmetics and food industries.
With its electrical protection class I and IP20 rating, it complies with current safety standards. The NBV 15 S UV-C lamp is a simple and reliable tool for any organisation wishing to enhance the biological safety of its facilities.
