Gilson's GX-271 Liquid Handler: an automated solution for liquid handling
The Gilson GX-271 Liquid Handler is a solution designed to automate liquid handling processes in research, development and quality control environments. This X, Y and Z axis instrument enables precise liquid transfers between various types of containers while ensuring optimal flexibility of use. The modular configuration of the GX-271 makes it compatible with several accessories that expand its range of applications, from solvent systems to VERITY® syringe pumps, rinsing stations and fraction collection valves.
The system can be equipped with a direct injection module, a bidirectional solvent system and rinsing pumps to facilitate probe cleaning. The design reduces dead volume and allows working with variable volumes according to specific user requirements. Thanks to its Ethernet and RS-232 communication, the GX-271 can be integrated into computerised workflows and is fully controllable via the TRILUTION® software.
With a mechanical arm positioning accuracy of ±0.75 mm and repeatability of ±0.20 mm, the device guarantees consistent performance for even low-volume liquid handling. Its tray can accommodate different types of racks, allowing up to five tube or vial racks and one solvent bottle rack to be installed.
Designed for indoor use, the GX-271 operates in ambient conditions ranging from 5°C to 40°C with a maximum relative humidity of 80% at 31°C. Its robustness and reliability are certified by safety standards in force in Europe, Canada and the United States. All these features make the GX-271 an indispensable partner for automating repetitive tasks, while optimising productivity and limiting the risk of human error.
