IKA's HB digital, the precision heating bath for your laboratory applications
The HB digital from IKA is a compact heating bath that combines performance, safety and ease of use to meet the needs of modern laboratories. Designed to heat various types of media up to a temperature of 180°C, it is ideal for applications requiring precise temperature control. Its 4-litre capacity allows it to handle volumes suitable for everyday use, while its ergonomic design and intelligent features ensure optimal user comfort.
This heating bath features a clear digital display that continuously shows the set temperature and actual temperature, providing continuous and reliable monitoring of the heating process. Thanks to its lock button, the selected temperature can be secured to prevent accidental changes, a major advantage in environments where precision is essential.
The HB digital is equipped with several safe operating modes (A, B and C) that protect the user and the appliance from the risks of overheating and improper use. A fixed safety circuit limits the temperature to 190°C, while an adjustable circuit between 50 and 190°C provides additional protection. This design allows the bath to be used with a wide variety of media, including silicone oils for high-temperature applications, while ensuring laboratory safety.
Temperature control is provided by a rotary knob that allows fine adjustment with a resolution of 1 K. Accuracy is enhanced by low oscillation and a reduced average deviation, even when used with oil at 150 °C. The integrated micro-USB interface facilitates communication with other systems, allowing integration into connected and automated laboratory setups.
Made of 1.4404 stainless steel for all parts in contact with the medium, the HB digital is corrosion-resistant and easy to clean. Its ergonomic handles ensure safe handling and transport, even when the bath is full. With compact dimensions of 330 x 190 x 325 mm and a weight of 3.9 kg, it fits easily on any workbench without cluttering the workspace.
This heating bath is also energy efficient, with a heating power of 1400 W and standby consumption limited to 3 W. It operates in a room temperature range of 5 to 40 °C and up to 80% relative humidity, making it suitable for a wide variety of laboratory environments.
The IKA HB digital is a reliable and versatile solution for laboratories looking for a high-performance, safe heating bath that can meet a variety of needs, from simple sample heating to applications requiring high temperatures and precise control. Its robust design and numerous safety features make it an essential piece of equipment for all routine and specialised applications.
