Description

Ohaus HB2DGHL: a high-precision digital dry bath with heated lid for critical laboratory applications

The Ohaus HB2DGHL is a dual-block digital heating dry bath designed specifically to meet the needs of laboratories requiring consistent and reproducible thermal performance. It features an integrated heated lid, an essential feature for limiting sample evaporation and maintaining optimal thermal uniformity, particularly during long incubations or applications sensitive to temperature variations.

The HB2DGHL is ideal for applications such as culture incubation, enzyme reactions, enzyme immunoassays (ELISA), melting point or boiling point determination, and protein or nucleic acid denaturation. Thanks to its state-of-the-art digital technology, it allows precise temperature and time settings, with an intuitive user interface featuring simple control keys and a dual display (actual temperature/set temperature, elapsed time/programmed time).

This dry bath works with interchangeable modular blocks, ensuring perfect compatibility with a wide variety of tubes, vials or plates. The careful design guarantees efficient heat transfer, temperature stability of ±0.1°C at 37°C and thermal uniformity of ±0.1°C in the block, even at high temperatures. The heated lid further enhances this stability by preventing condensation and ensuring constant thermal coverage.

Thanks to its integrated calibration functions, the user can adjust the device to specific temperatures, ensuring optimum accuracy according to experimental requirements. In addition, an external RTD probe (optional) can be connected for direct measurements in solution, further increasing the accuracy of the temperature control. Safety is also ensured with an audible alarm when the target temperature is reached, overheating protection and an automatic standby function.

The unit is designed for stable laboratory use, free from draughts, with a reliable power supply. Compact (15.4 x 8 x 7 inches), the HB2DGHL takes up little space on the bench while offering high processing capacity thanks to its two heating blocks. Its robust housing and high-quality construction make it a durable and reliable investment for all biology, chemistry or clinical analysis laboratories.
