HBR 4 - LR control heating bath from IKA: a precise and safe heating bath for your laboratory applications
The HBR 4 - LR control heating bath from IKA is specially designed to provide uniform and reliable heating for laboratory work. Its cylindrical and compact design allows it to fit easily on a workbench while offering an optimal working volume of approximately 4 litres. The tank, made of high-quality stainless steel (1.4301), ensures excellent resistance to chemicals and heat, guaranteeing a long service life even with intensive use.
This model features a heating power of 1000 W and a continuously adjustable temperature range from ambient temperature to 200 °C. Thanks to a heating element integrated into the base of the bath and a powerful stirrer, heat is distributed evenly throughout the heat transfer fluid, whether water or low-viscosity silicone oil (50 mPas). The device is also equipped with a safety temperature limiter adjustable between 50 and 210 °C in accordance with DIN 12877, offering maximum protection against accidental overheating.
The user interface is intuitive with a digital display showing the set temperature, actual temperature and stirring speed. The speed can be continuously adjusted between 150 and 800 rpm, offering flexibility for use with different experimental protocols. The integration of an RS232 interface facilitates connection to an external control system or a computer, enabling precise monitoring and automation of certain tasks.
For added safety and convenience, the HBR 4 - LR control bath has a double protective wall to prevent burns and two side handles for safe transport. It can be used with an external temperature probe to measure and regulate the temperature directly within the treated medium.
