Memmert HCP50 – Humidity-controlled climate chamber for precise and reproducible testing
The Memmert HCP50 is a humidity chamber specially designed to provide a perfectly controlled environment for stability tests, life cycle tests and quality controls. It features active humidity control, allowing the range to be set from 20 to 95% RH with an accuracy of 0.5% RH. Its temperature control covers a range from +7 °C above ambient temperature to +90 °C, with an accuracy of 0.1 °C. Two Pt100 DIN Class A sensors in a 4-wire configuration provide mutual monitoring and ensure continuous operation in the event of a sensor failure.
This environmental accuracy allows real or extreme conditions to be faithfully reproduced, which is essential for 85/85 tests (85% RH at 85°C) or other standardised protocols. The SetpointWAIT system, integrated into the controller, ensures that test timing only starts once the target parameters have been reached.
Optimised design for reliability and efficiency
The HCP50 features a multifunctional heating system distributed across four sides, complemented by door and rear heating to prevent condensation. This design ensures uniform temperature and humidity distribution inside the chamber. Its 1.4301 (ASTM 304) stainless steel interior and insulated compression-locking door guarantee robustness and tightness.
Heated interior glazing limits condensation while providing visibility of the sample during testing. The chamber can accommodate up to 5 shelves, with a maximum capacity of 75 kg, allowing it to be adapted to the needs of each application. The 40 mm diameter cable entry at the rear provides a practical solution for connecting sensors or other external devices.
Control, connectivity and safety
The TwinDISPLAY ControlCOCKPIT control panel, equipped with two high-definition colour TFT screens, allows intuitive adjustment of temperature, humidity, programme duration and various time parameters. The AtmoCONTROL software facilitates the creation, transfer and management of programmes via USB or Ethernet.
Safety is enhanced by the AutoSAFETY system, an over- and under-temperature monitoring device that automatically follows the setpoint with a predefined tolerance. If the setpoint is exceeded, the heating is interrupted and a visual and audible alarm is triggered. The integrated self-diagnostic system ensures constant monitoring of the control functions.
The Memmert HCP50 meets the requirements of modern laboratories, combining precision, data traceability and long-term reliability. Its compact and robust design makes it an ideal choice for demanding test environments.
