HL-2000 HybriLinker hybridisation oven: Compact excellence for your UV hybridisations and fixations
The HL-2000 HybriLinker is a highly specialised laboratory instrument designed to meet the rigorous requirements of molecular biology applications, including nucleic acid hybridisation and ultraviolet light fixation. This innovative system combines two essential features in a single unit: a high-performance hybridisation oven with precise temperature control and an intelligent UV crosslinker for fast and uniform fixation of nucleic acids on membranes.
In its oven section, the HL-2000 maintains a stable temperature of 10°C above ambient up to 99.9°C, with remarkable thermal uniformity. This precision is guaranteed by an integrated microprocessor and an internal fan that homogenises the air in the chamber. Its removable carousel allows adjustable rotation from 10 to 18 rpm for uniform saturation of samples. It can hold up to 20 vials measuring 35 x 150 mm or 10 vials measuring 35 x 300 mm, with the option of mixing sizes. This offers great flexibility depending on the protocols used.
The crosslinker section of the HL-2000 operates independently of the oven. It uses short-wave UV lamps (254 nm) with adjustable intensity depending on the desired exposure time or energy, up to 999,900 µJ/cm². Thanks to its touchscreen keyboard and bright LED display, the user can program the UV intensity with precision, either using predefined settings or customised settings. The safety system prevents any UV emission when the door is open, ensuring safe use.
Designed to last, the HL-2000 features a robust and ergonomic design and incorporates easily removable components for simplified cleaning. It also allows the addition of extra trays such as rocker or orbital trays, making it adaptable to a wide variety of protocols. With its small footprint and dual function, this oven is the ideal choice for laboratories requiring reliable, compact and multifunctional equipment.
