The multifunction control panel with keypad and buttons allows easy selection of section thickness, cutting mode, speed control and memory, making it easy to use.
Operator safety is a priority with the HM 355S. This safe, ergonomic and intuitive rotary microtome is fully automated, reducing the risk of human error. The motorised section can be controlled by the speed/start-stop button, the start-stop button or the optional foot pedal, offering flexibility of use. Accidental start-up is prevented by a double-click mechanism and an automatic brake after motorised action, ensuring safe use. The ergonomic, removable control panel can be placed on either side of the microtome, and the easily accessible emergency stop button ensures rapid intervention if necessary.
The HM 355S also offers increased convenience with the option of easy switching between thickness settings for cutting and sectioning/fine cutting. The tilt mode allows the handwheel to be "tilted" forward, enabling the sample to be advanced without completely rotating the handwheel. Four motorised operating modes (single section, interval, multi-section and continuous) meet a variety of cutting needs, while a large removable waste tray covers the entire working area for easy cleaning.
