TopAir HC series horizontal laminar flow hoods: a controlled solution for a sterile environment
TopAir's HC series hoods are designed to guarantee a workspace that is protected against particle contamination in sensitive environments. Thanks to a horizontal laminar flow produced from the extracted air, filtered by a HEPA filter and then diffused evenly over the entire work surface, these units maintain a particle-free zone in accordance with the most stringent standards.
The air flow, directed horizontally from the rear of the hood towards the operator, is filtered by a system certified to ISO 14644-1 (Class ISO 4) and US Federal Standard 209E (Class 100) standards. This level of cleanliness is achieved through a Class H14 HEPA filter, with 99.9995% efficiency at 0.3 microns, with the option of installing a ULPA filter for even more demanding specific requirements.
Each hood is constructed with a robust, chemical-resistant polypropylene structure and a 304 stainless steel worktop, ensuring optimal durability in laboratory environments. The front is equipped with a glass window and the side walls are made of tempered glass, ensuring maximum visibility while maintaining the integrity of the working environment.
The unit is controlled via a 7-inch screen that displays the air speed in real time, with integrated functions such as automatic air flow regulation, a filter change timer, a replacement alert, and a light alarm system in the event of a flow failure. This visual device, complemented by an automatic shut-off, provides enhanced safety, even from a distance or for people with hearing impairments.
Silent (less than 50 dB or 54 dB depending on the model) and equipped with powerful 800 LUX LED lighting, TopAir HC hoods combine working comfort, energy efficiency and compactness. They therefore offer a high-performance alternative to the costly construction of a clean room, while maintaining the cleanliness requirements necessary for medical, pharmaceutical, electronic and research environments.
