HPLC System Controller – SCL-10AVP

The Shimadzu SCL-10AVP is a centralised system controller designed to efficiently control all HPLC modules in the VP series. With its intuitive interface and backlit LCD display, it simplifies analytical method management, secure parameter storage and full compliance with GLP/GMP standards. Equipped with fibre optic connectivity, this device guarantees fast, interference-free transmission. It is ideal for laboratories requiring maximum productivity, complete traceability and flexibility of use for chromatographic analysis.

Description

SCL-10A VP – The intelligent heart of your Shimadzu HPLC system

The Shimadzu SCL-10A VP HPLC system controller is much more than just a control box: it is the nerve centre of the entire VP series analytical chain, designed to offer laboratories total control over their chromatographic analyses with unrivalled simplicity and robustness. Designed to meet growing demands for validation, traceability and productivity, this device ensures intuitive and efficient management of HPLC modules – pumps, detectors, thermostatic columns, autosamplers – thanks to a user-friendly interface, customisable programmes and high-speed optical communication.

Its native compatibility with all modules in the VP series and its backward compatibility with previous generations allow for seamless integration into any laboratory environment. Users can switch between a simplified mode, suitable for routine isocratic analyses, and an advanced mode, offering all the features of gradient programming, temperature control, injection management and fraction collection. This flexibility makes it suitable for both quality control laboratories and analytical research units.

With its high-quality backlit graphic display (320 × 240 dots), the SCL-10A VP allows real-time viewing of flow rates, gradient programmes, chromatograms and even wavelength scans from SPD-10AVP/10AVVP detectors. The user can store up to 20 method files, which can be transferred securely via an integrated 3.5" floppy disk drive. These methods can be exchanged between different VP HPLC systems, ensuring optimal reproducibility of analytical conditions.

The controller also has integrated diagnostic and safety functions, enabling preventive detection of pressure, temperature or lamp current anomalies, while complying with GLP/GMP validation standards. At the same time, the RS-232C interface enables fast communication with chromatography software such as CLASS-VP, ensuring smooth data transfer to processing stations. For even greater modularity, users can expand the system with A/D cards for analogue detectors or a SCSI port to connect multiple systems in a network.

The SCL-10A VP is a strategic investment for laboratories looking to automate and optimise their HPLC chain while remaining compliant with regulatory requirements. Versatile, scalable and reliable, it is one of the best HPLC system controllers on the market.
