Memmert ICH750 – Climate chamber for stability testing
The Memmert ICH750 is a high-performance climate chamber designed for stability testing and applications requiring strict temperature and humidity control. Designed to meet international ICH, WHO, EMA, ASEAN, GMP, GLP and GCCP standards, it stands out for its ability to maintain constant and reproducible conditions, which are essential for pharmaceutical research, quality control and conservation studies.
Its generous internal volume of 749 litres and optimised design allow a large number of samples to be processed simultaneously, while ensuring remarkable thermal homogeneity throughout the working space. The ICH750 operates in a wide temperature range from -10°C to +60°C, with or without humidity control, making it highly versatile. In the presence of humidity and/or light, it operates efficiently between +10°C and +60°C. Precise relative humidity control, adjustable between 10 and 80% RH, ensures ideal conditions for a wide range of sensitive applications.
The unit is controlled via the TwinDISPLAY interface, which features two high-definition colour screens that provide a clear overview of parameters and data. The multifunctional PID microprocessor allows precise adjustment of temperature, fan speed, relative humidity and programme time. The SetpointWAIT function ensures that the process time only starts once the desired conditions have been reached, optimising the reliability of the tests.
The ICH750 has an adjustable ventilation system from 10 to 100% in 10% increments, ensuring even distribution of heat and humidity. Humidification is provided by a hot steam generator, while active dehumidification maintains the desired moisture balance. Regulation is assisted by two class A Pt100 temperature sensors, mounted in a 4-wire circuit for mutual monitoring and safe operation in the event of failure.
Safety is at the heart of the Memmert ICH750 design. It incorporates a mechanical temperature limiter, overheating and underheating protection systems, and automatic monitoring (ASF) adjusted to the setpoint. Visual and audible alarms immediately warn of any critical deviations. An internal self-diagnostic system continuously monitors for faults in temperature and humidity control.
In terms of construction, the ICH750 features a robust textured stainless steel body, an electropolished interior and insulated doors with two-point locking for excellent sealing. The climate chamber is equipped with stainless steel grilles, a water tank with connection hose and a silicone-sealed entry port for additional probes or cabling. Mounted on lockable castors, it is easy to move and install.
Economical and environmentally friendly, this climate chamber uses a CFC-free R290 gas refrigeration system and efficient automatic defrosting. Its optimised power consumption and low maintenance requirements make it a sustainable and cost-effective solution for laboratories.
