ICP110 from Memmert – Compressor-cooled incubator for precise temperature control
The Memmert ICP110 compressor-cooled incubator is specially designed to provide reliable and stable temperature control in a wide range of laboratory applications. With an operating range from -12°C to +60°C, it meets the needs of processes requiring both efficient cooling and uniform heating. This model is ideal for ramping operations where rapid temperature changes are required, whether for incubating biological samples, cell culture, preserving sensitive materials or temporary storage under specific conditions.
One of the major advantages of the ICP110 is its accuracy. With a control resolution of 0.1°C and a measurement system based on two Pt100 probes in a 4-wire circuit, it ensures constant and redundant temperature monitoring. This design guarantees sample safety, even in the event of a sensor failure. The SetpointWAIT function, integrated into its control system, ensures that process timing only starts once the target temperature has been reached, thus ensuring the reproducibility of experiments.
The ControlCOCKPIT TwinDISPLAY digital control system, with two high-definition colour TFT screens, offers an intuitive, multilingual interface. Parameters such as temperature, fan speed, programme duration and summer/winter time changeover can be easily adjusted. In addition, the AtmoCONTROL software allows sequences to be programmed and transferred via Ethernet or USB connection, facilitating automation and traceability of procedures.
In terms of safety, the ICP110 incorporates several levels of protection: mechanical temperature limiter, monitoring of temperature overshoots and drops with visual and audible alarms, and an AutoSAFETY system that automatically adjusts alert thresholds. In the event of overheating, the heating is cut off; in the event of undercooling, the compressor is stopped, thus ensuring the protection of the samples and the device.
The air jacket heating concept ensures gentle and uniform heat distribution, avoiding significant temperature gradients and preventing samples from drying out thanks to the insulation between the chamber and the cooling system. Defrosting is fully automatic, optimising energy efficiency and reducing maintenance. The refrigeration system uses R290 (propane) refrigerant, which is environmentally friendly and complies with current safety standards.
With a net capacity of 108 litres and the option of installing up to five internal levels, the ICP110 allows for optimal space organisation. The interior and shelves are made of electropolished stainless steel for perfect hygiene and easy cleaning. Its robust construction includes a double-locking stainless steel outer door and a glass inner door, allowing visual inspection of samples without disturbing the internal conditions.
Mounted on lockable castors, this incubator can be easily moved and installed in the laboratory while maintaining the minimum distances required for optimal ventilation. It operates at 230 V or 115 V depending on the configuration selected, and its power consumption is kept under control thanks to its efficient control system.
