The IF160plus incubator from Memmert is a piece of laboratory equipment specially designed to provide a stable, precise and homogeneous thermal environment. Parameters such as temperature, fan speed, air flap position, programme duration and summer/winter mode are easily accessible. The SetpointWAIT option ensures that the process time only starts once the target temperature has been reached, improving the accuracy of experiments. In addition, an integrated sterilisation programme at 160°C for 4 hours allows the working chamber to be cleaned effectively between test series.
The IF160plus is designed with a robust textured stainless steel structure that combines aesthetics and durability. The interior, also made of stainless steel, is reinforced with ribbed stamping to accommodate the shelves while protecting the integrated heating elements. The perfectly insulated outer door with a two-point closure ensures excellent thermal sealing, while an inner glass door allows the contents to be monitored without excessive heat loss.
Safety is a key feature of this incubator. It is equipped with a mechanical temperature limiter, an AutoSAFETY system for monitoring overheating and underheating, and visual and audible alarms in the event of the set thresholds being exceeded. An integrated self-diagnostic system quickly detects any faults for effective preventive maintenance.
In terms of connectivity and data management, the IF160plus features a USB port and an Ethernet interface for use with the AtmoCONTROL software for creating, managing and transferring programmes. Data can be saved even in the event of a power failure, ensuring complete traceability of cycles.
