Memmert IF75plus – Controlled air circulation incubator for scientific and industrial applications
The Memmert IF75plus incubator has been designed to provide a stable, precise and perfectly controlled working environment. It meets the requirements of scientific research, medicine, the pharmaceutical industry, food analysis and chemistry. Its role is to maintain and control the internal temperature with remarkable precision, thus ensuring reproducible results in incubation, culture and testing processes.
The device operates within an adjustable temperature range of +20 °C to +80 °C, with an adjustment accuracy of 0.1 °C. This fine control is made possible by its TwinDISPLAY digital control system and two Pt100 temperature sensors in a 4-wire configuration, ensuring continuous monitoring and automatic takeover in the event of a sensor failure. HeatBALANCE technology allows the heating power distribution between the upper and lower circuits to be adjusted to maintain optimum thermal homogeneity.
Air circulation is provided by a silent air turbine, whose speed can be adjusted in 10% increments for each programme segment. The intake of preheated fresh air is electronically controlled, ensuring precise and constant air renewal. An adjustable exhaust valve completes this ventilation system. The SetpointWAIT system allows the programme timer to start only once the target temperature has been reached, optimising the reliability of the incubation cycles.
The IF75plus has an internal volume of 74 litres, made entirely of electrolytically polished stainless steel, providing an easy-to-clean, corrosion-resistant surface. The internal structure is reinforced by deep ribbing incorporating the heating system on all four sides for even heat distribution. Standard equipment includes two stainless steel shelves that can support up to 20 kg each, with a maximum total load of 120 kg. The unit can accommodate up to six internal shelves.
The fully insulated outer door with a two-point compression closure ensures excellent thermal insulation. A glass inner door allows the contents to be viewed without disturbing the internal conditions. Programming and parameter management are carried out via the intuitive TwinDISPLAY interface, and the supplied AtmoCONTROL software allows programmes to be created, stored and transferred via USB or Ethernet. In the event of a power failure, the programme data is saved for later recovery.
Safety is at the heart of the IF75plus design. It features a mechanical temperature limiter (TB) and overheating monitoring devices (TWW/TWB) with several protection classes. The AutoSAFETY system continuously monitors the temperature to switch off the heating if the tolerance thresholds are exceeded. Visual and audible alarms immediately alert the user in the event of a fault. An internal sterilisation programme set at 160°C for four hours is available to disinfect the working chamber (without load).
Compact and robust, the IF75plus is suitable for demanding working environments. Its external dimensions of 585 × 944 × 514 mm (excluding handle) and net weight of approximately 66 kg make it easy to install. It operates in ambient conditions from +5 °C to +40 °C and up to 80% non-condensing relative humidity. Its design and manufacture in Germany guarantee reliability and durability, meeting international safety and performance standards.
