IN55plus from Memmert – Precision incubator for scientific and industrial applications
The Memmert IN55plus incubator is a piece of equipment designed to meet the varied needs of professionals working in the fields of scientific, medical and pharmaceutical research, food analysis and food chemistry. Its design is based on perfect temperature control, combined with an intuitive management interface and multiple safety devices. This incubator enables precise, reproducible and reliable incubation processes while ensuring sample protection.
With a temperature range of +20°C to +80°C and a display accuracy of 0.1°C, the IN55plus offers fine control suitable for the most demanding protocols. The two class A Pt100 sensors, mounted in a four-wire circuit, monitor each other and can replace each other in the event of a fault, thus ensuring continuous operation. The SetpointWAIT system allows timing to start only when the set temperature is reached, optimising cycle reliability.
The TwinDISPLAY digital control is based on a multifunction PID microprocessor with two high-definition TFT colour screens. This user-friendly interface makes it easy to adjust parameters, program cycles and access special functions such as HeatBALANCE thermal distribution management, which adjusts the power of the upper and lower heating circuits to maintain perfect uniformity.
The IN55plus benefits from optimised mechanical and thermal design. Its natural convection, combined with the admission of preheated air via an electronically adjustable flap, ensures a stable atmosphere in the chamber. The interior, made of electropolished stainless steel, is reinforced by a deep-drawn profile and incorporates a heating system protected on all four sides. The stainless steel outer door is equipped with a two-point compression lock, and an inner glass door allows samples to be observed without disturbing the thermal environment.
In terms of safety, the IN55plus incorporates several protection systems. A mechanical temperature limiter (TB) cuts off the heating approximately 20°C above the nominal value. An over-temperature controller (TWW/TWB) is adjustable from the display, and the AutoSAFETY function automatically monitors the setpoint and triggers a visual and audible alarm in the event of a deviation. An integrated self-diagnostic function facilitates the detection and resolution of faults.
The 53-litre net capacity, combined with a modular internal layout that can accommodate up to four shelves, allows for flexible sample organisation. Each shelf can support up to 20 kg, for a maximum total load of 80 kg in the chamber. The compact dimensions and robust construction facilitate integration into any working environment, while the textured stainless steel surface is resistant to handling and intensive cleaning.
The IN55plus is compatible with AtmoCONTROL software. Its low energy consumption and optimised design make it a reliable choice for all laboratories seeking precise control and enhanced safety for their incubation processes.
