IF55plus Incubator: Precision and Uniformity for Your Laboratory Applications
The Memmert IF55plus incubator is engineered to deliver consistently controlled temperatures, even in the most demanding laboratory environments. With an adjustable temperature range from +20 °C to +80 °C (usable from +10 °C above ambient temperature), it is ideal for applications in biology, medicine, pharmaceuticals, food analysis, and chemistry.
The incubator features an advanced control system based on TwinDISPLAY technology, combining two high-resolution TFT color screens with a digital PID controller. This system enables precise temperature settings with a display resolution of 0.1 °C. Dual Pt100 temperature sensors in 4-wire technology ensure mutual monitoring for safe operation.
The IF55plus integrates several functions for enhanced process control: the HeatBALANCE function allows heat distribution adjustment between the upper and lower heating elements, while the SetpointWAIT function ensures processes start only once the target temperature is reached. Calibration is possible at three freely selectable temperature points for increased accuracy.
In terms of safety, the device includes multiple thermal protection systems, with a mechanical temperature limiter and configurable safety thermostats. The AutoSAFETY system continuously monitors temperature deviations and triggers both visual and acoustic alarms in the event of overtemperature. In case of power failure, the program cycle is automatically saved.
The IF55plus is also equipped for internal sterilization, with a fixed program running 4 hours at 160 °C, excluding chamber contents.
The 53-liter interior chamber, made of easy-to-clean stainless steel, is heated on all four sides to ensure uniform temperature distribution. The outer door, made of stainless steel, features a double-point locking mechanism, and an inner glass door allows observation without thermal disturbance. The unit is compatible with an electropolished stainless steel grid and can accommodate up to four shelves, each with a maximum load capacity of 20 kg.
An Ethernet interface and USB port allow program management via AtmoCONTROL software, providing fast and flexible configuration of incubation cycles.
