Categories: Operating Room

The Fresenius Kabi Agilia Volumat MC infusion pump is a medical device used by healthcare professionals to accurately administer fluids, such as medications, blood, and blood products, to patients. Designed for adults, children, and newborns, this system offers a wide flow rate range, flexible programming modes, a long-lasting battery, and advanced safety features such as the Occlusion Clearance System (OCS) and Dynamic Pressure System (DPS).

Description

The Agilia Volumat MC Infusion Pump - cutting-edge infusion for healthcare professionals.

Designed to accurately administer fluids, including medications, blood, and blood products, this pump offers unparalleled versatility. Its use is intended for adults, children, and newborns, thus meeting diverse patient needs.

Featuring an impressive flow rate range, the pump allows for a flow rate from 1 to 1200 ml/h in normal mode, with an increment of 1 ml/h. In micro mode, the flow rate ranges from 0.1 to 99.9 ml/h with an increment of 0.1 ml/h, providing exceptional precision in fluid administration. The Vigilant function, the IV drug safety solution, allows for flow rate limitation based on the drug name, with soft and hard limits, ensuring safe administration.

This pump offers five setting modes, providing maximum flexibility in programming, including volume-based, time-based, and flow-based modes. The patented Occlusivity Check System (OCS) performs automatic tests to ensure the pump's proper operation, thus preventing reflux risks. The bolus function, adjustable from 50 ml/h to 1200 ml/h in 50 ml/h increments, allows for rapid administration when necessary.

Programming modes include options without drug name display, with drug name display, and the secure Vigilant Drug'Lib mode, enabling safe administration with soft and hard limits. The customized drug library, in collaboration with Vigilant, ensures increased safety during drug administration.

In terms of safety, the pump offers two pressure modes, variable or pre-set at three levels, with the Dynamic Pressure System (DPS) alerting to pressure variations, thus anticipating risks of obstruction or leakage in the infusion line.

The pump is powered by a Li-Ion battery providing at least 8 hours of autonomy at a flow rate of 100 ml/h, with a clear display of the remaining charge level available on the screen. This infusion pump combines performance, safety, and ease of use to meet the diverse needs of healthcare professionals.
