Carefusion's Alaris GP Plus infusion pump offers a versatile and flexible solution for infusion therapy, suitable for a wide range of acute and sub-acute medical applications. With an intuitive user interface, easy configuration, and innovative safety features, this volumetric pump ensures precise drug administration, blood transfusions and parenteral nutrition.
The Alaris GP Plus infusion pump is specifically designed to meet the needs of infusion therapy in acute and subacute applications. Equipped with an intuitive user interface, it provides a flexible platform for drug infusion, blood transfusions, and parenteral nutrition. Its ergonomic design facilitates transport, cleaning, and its assembly, including on the Alaris Gateway workstation, enabling extensive connectivity with patient data management systems (PDMS) and hospital information systems (HIS) through an open network architecture.
Configuring the pumps for specific care areas is simple and consistent thanks to the Alaris Editor. This unique computer tool configures the volumetric pump. Centralized configuration control allows for up to 30 care area profiles and up to 3000 drug protocols.
System integration is optimized by the Alaris Gateway Workstation, designed to seamlessly integrate into your complete system. Safety is enhanced by the Alaris safety clamp, protecting patients from the risk of reflux when removing the pump set. The set also includes an inline air sensor for protection against air bubbles, an alarm and signaling system for immediate identification of pumps requiring attention, and a user-friendly interface that requires minimal training.
The large screen's clarity allows for quick reading of essential data with fewer key presses. Safe and intuitive loading of the IV infusion set is facilitated by a color code. The door can be safely removed in seconds for cleaning and maintenance.
Medication safety software has become a prerequisite for infusion devices. The Plus software is designed to facilitate the transition to a full implementation of Guardrails, simply and according to your schedule. You can use the same Alaris Editor to create your drug library and care area profiles. When your Guardrails dataset is ready, upgrading the pump to Guardrails is straightforward.
