Innova 43 for intensive organic cultivation
The Eppendorf Innova® 43 is a benchtop incubator shaker with horizontal orbital motion, capable of maintaining stable and homogeneous environmental conditions, which are essential for the culture of microorganisms or cells. Thanks to its balanced triple eccentric drive mechanism, the Innova 43 ensures smooth and uniform movement, even at full load, while minimising the risk of splashing or mechanical stress on the samples. It offers a choice of two orbit diameters (2.54 cm and 5.1 cm) to adapt the shaking to the nature of the cultures.
The device stands out for its wide temperature range from 10°C above ambient temperature to 80°C. This precise temperature control is made possible by a pulse width modulation (PWM) heating system combined with a platinum RTD sensor. The Innova® 43 can be used continuously, in timed mode or via a complex multi-step programme, and even remotely controlled via the RS-232 port. These features make it ideal for long-term protocols requiring precise changes in conditions.
User safety and crop integrity are ensured by several features: automatic stirrer shut-off when the lid is opened, thermal safety shut-off, gradual platform slowdown, and visual and audible alarms if temperature or speed thresholds are exceeded. In addition, the backlit LCD screen provides a clear view of the parameters, and settings are saved in a non-volatile memory in the event of a power failure.
The Innova® 43 is compatible with a wide range of accessories (universal platforms, dedicated platforms, tube racks, lamps, humidity sensors), making it a versatile tool for all biological culture situations.
