Precise Shaking for Sensitive Cultures: Innova® 44 from Eppendorf
The Innova® 44 from Eppendorf stands out as a benchtop incubator shaker capable of supporting intensive applications in medical laboratories, particularly in the fields of microbiology, cell culture and pharmaceutical research. Thanks to a technical architecture focused on reliability and long-term performance, it is designed to offer vibration-free operation, even under maximum load conditions. Its triple eccentric drive system mounted on a cast iron base, complemented by nine permanently lubricated ball bearings, ensures culture stability, which is essential for delicate media.
This model is stackable up to three units, allowing for space optimisation without compromising performance. It covers a wide temperature range, from 10°C above ambient temperature up to 80°C, with remarkable accuracy of ±0.1°C. This makes it ideal for the culture of thermophilic microorganisms, as well as for processes requiring strict incubation. The Innova® 44 allows the use of large-volume flasks up to 6 L on a 76 × 46 cm platform, facilitating the scaling up of experimental protocols.
Ergonomics have also been carefully considered with a vertical sliding door for easy access to samples and a backlit LCD screen displaying all critical data at a glance. Safety features include automatic shutdown in the event of excessive imbalance or door opening, enhancing crop protection. Integrated programming for up to 15 steps with four programme memories facilitates the control of complex protocols. The Innova® 44 can be connected to the VisioNize® suite for remote monitoring, which is essential in demanding working environments.
Its drip tray system, designed with rounded corners, facilitates cleaning and effectively limits the risk of contamination from spills.
