Kappa M05: Precision and versatility in lens cutting
The Essilor Kappa M05 has been designed to meet the needs of modern optical workshops and practices, combining technology and ease of use. Thanks to its automatic three-dimensional binocular tracing, the Kappa M05 ensures a perfect fit between the lens and the frame, even for complex geometries.
The system offers comprehensive configurable beveling, grooving, chamfering and polishing functions, providing total control over the finishing process. Its 3D bevel preview and customisable bevel path allow precise adjustments for optimal results, while the EAS (Edging Assisted System) cycle limits axis deviations on fragile lenses.
Designed for greater ergonomics, the Kappa M05 has a large centring space, making it easier to handle lenses. It also includes a database of 1,000 positions, optimising workflow and reducing the time required for repetitive tasks.
A major advantage of the Kappa M05 is its High-Curve function, which expands the possibilities for in-house machining. Covering base curves up to 8 (for all materials except mineral) and allowing adjustment of the height, width and position of the bevel, this system facilitates the production of curved frames, reduces the risk of poorly fitted lenses and decreases the number of costly reworks.
For complete functionality (tracking, cutting and mounting), the Kappa M05 must be combined with a Kappa Special Edition, Neksia, Mr. Orange or Mr. Blue. With its robust construction and compact size, the Kappa M05 fits easily into any workshop while ensuring consistent, high-quality results.
