BINDER KBW 400 climate chamber: performance and precision for growth
The BINDER KBW 400 is a high-end growth chamber designed to provide perfectly controlled environmental conditions. It meets the requirements of research laboratories, agricultural institutes and the pharmaceutical and food industries, which require precise temperature and lighting control for plant cultivation or stability testing.
Thanks to its patented lighting system, the KBW 400 ensures uniform light distribution across the entire culture surface. Three positionable light cassettes, each equipped with five fluorescent tubes, allow you to choose between three light spectra: daylight tubes, Fluora® lamps or Arabidopsis lamps. This flexibility guarantees optimal conditions for different types of crops.
The chamber is equipped with APT.line™ technology, which ensures uniform temperature distribution even at maximum load. It operates in a temperature range from 0°C to 70°C without light, and from 5°C to 60°C with 100% lighting, with a temperature uniformity of ±0.5 K (without light) and a fluctuation of ±0.1 K, ensuring exceptional stability.
The programmable controller allows precise management of light and heat cycles, with programming in time segments and in real time. An access port with silicone cap, a class 3.1 safety device (DIN 12880), an RS 422 interface and interior safety glass doors complete the standard equipment.
The KBW 400 is also energy efficient, with a consumption of 660 Wh/h at 25 °C with light, and a noise level of only 53 dB(A). It comes with three stainless steel shelves and can be customised with a wide range of accessories, including additional light cassettes, temperature sensors, communication software, calibration certificates, and more.
