The lighting is white, similar to daylight, with a colour temperature of around 6000 K. This rendering allows excellent detail perception without colour alteration, even when the intensity varies.
A key advantage of the KL 1500 LED is its ability to be continuously dimmed from 0 to 100% without flickering, thanks to a direct current power supply. This ensures lighting stability, which is essential for sensitive observations or image capture. Unlike halogen sources, bulb replacement is no longer necessary, reducing downtime and maintenance costs.
The KL 1500 LED has a compact and neat housing. Its integrated handle makes it easy to handle, while the silent fan cooling system ensures stable operation without overheating. Its small footprint, reinforced by additional metal weight, provides excellent stability, especially when used with goosenecks. A two-position filter slider allows quick insertion of a filter without having to remove it completely when not in use, making it easy to customise the lighting.
In terms of compatibility, the KL 1500 LED is designed to work with a wide range of light guides and accessories from the KL series, offering great modularity. The device accepts international power (90–264 V, 47–63 Hz) with an interchangeable plug system and complies with CE, UL and PSE regulations, ensuring safe use in various countries.
