RH digital KT/C: Precise Agitation and Stable Heating for Medical Protocols
The RH digital KT/C meets the needs of laboratories that require reproducible parameters when preparing solutions, dissolving reagents or bringing samples to temperature. The split-pole motor drives a magnetic stir bar with a continuously adjustable speed range of 100 to 2000 rpm. The dedicated LED speed display shows the actual value (0 to 2000 rpm), facilitating fine adjustment during sensitive steps. On the heating side, the 1.4301 stainless steel plate with an enamelled coating delivers up to 500 W (230/115 V; 450 W at 100 V), with electronic control maintaining the surface temperature up to 320 °C. The 4-digit LED display alternates between the setpoint and the measured value, allowing you to keep an eye on the temperature development during the temperature rise and during holding phases.
Integrated Safety for Sensitive Environments and Personnel
In a medical environment, risk control is essential. The RH digital KT/C incorporates an adjustable safety circuit ("Safe Temp") that limits the plate temperature between 100 and 400°C. If the temperature is exceeded or there is a control fault, the heating is switched off and the temperature display shows "-S-", while the stirring continues at the set speed. During heating, a red indicator light is illuminated; when the plate remains above 50°C, the device flashes "HOT" on the display, a useful reminder when handling the device on the workbench. By design, the KT/C version only heats when the plug is inserted or a contact thermometer is connected, which prevents accidental heating.
Designed for Continuous Use in Medical Laboratories
Compact (168 × 220 × 105 mm, 2.4 kg), the device can hold up to 15 L of water for routine agitation. It is designed for 100% duty cycle (continuous operation) at ambient conditions of +5 to +40 °C and ≤ 80% RH, with IP 21 protection. The DIN 12 878 connection allows the use of a contact thermometer (type ETS-D/ETC) to directly regulate the medium temperature and reduce overshooting. The enamelled plate is resistant to common laboratory bases and acids; regular maintenance and the use of clean, dry containers with flat bottoms preserve the coating and ensure even heat distribution. All these features make the RH digital KT/C a reliable tool for medical applications where reproducibility, parameter monitoring and operator safety are priorities.
