Olympus KV-6 – High-Performance Suction Pump for Medical Applications
The KV-6 suction pump is designed to meet the needs of healthcare professionals in clinical and surgical environments. Equipped with a high-performance motor, it achieves a suction capacity of up to -95 kPa, with an adjustable free air flow rate of 40, 50 or 60 litres per minute. This flexibility allows for quick adaptation to the specific requirements of each procedure, ensuring optimal vacuum control.
The KV-6 features easy-to-clean touch-sensitive control buttons and offers two modes of operation: " whisper " mode for quiet operation and " turbo " mode for accelerated suction. These features ensure comfortable and efficient use, even in the most noise-sensitive environments.
Hygiene, Safety and Compatibility with Olympus Systems
The KV-6 is compatible with accessories from the previous KV-5 model as well as with Olympus workstations. It can be used with 1.5 or 2.5 litre jars, mounted on a trolley or on Olympus stations, offering great installation flexibility. The collection system can be disposable or reusable, depending on the needs of the department.
Disposable bacteria and odour filters ensure maximum safety during aspiration, while single-use liners are equipped with an automatic shut-off mechanism in case of overfilling. Jars and lids are autoclavable up to 135°C, ensuring effective disinfection and impact resistance.
Compact Design, Regulatory Compliance and Chemical Resistance
Measuring 305 mm wide, 375 mm deep and 210 mm high, and weighing 9.3 kg, the KV-6 is easy to move and install. It complies with EN ISO 10079-1, EN IEC 60601-1, UL 60601-1 and EN IEC 60601-1-2 standards, ensuring optimal electrical and electromagnetic safety.
The external casing is resistant to 2% neutral aqueous detergents, 70% ethyl alcohol, isopropyl alcohol and water. The system is protected against liquid ingress in accordance with IP21 and has a thermal sensor that stops the motor if the internal temperature exceeds 80°C, with restart possible below 70°C.
