Memmert WNB 29 Water Bath: Thermal Performance and Safety for the Laboratory
The Memmert WNB 29 water bath stands out as a reliable and precise solution for laboratory applications requiring stable thermal regulation. Designed to meet the standard needs of professional environments, this unit combines rigorous temperature control with enhanced safety, while remaining easy to operate.
This model features a usable volume of 29 liters and offers a temperature range from +5 °C above ambient up to +95 °C, with a special function allowing it to reach up to 100 °C. Its corrosion-protected, three-sided heating system ensures fast and uniform heat-up, delivering optimal thermal efficiency.
The user interface includes a digital LED controller that displays both the setpoint and actual temperature with 0.1 °C precision. An integrated programmable timer allows cycles from 1 minute to 99h59, with START, PAUSE, and STOP functions—ideal for long or repetitive procedures.
Safety is a key focus. The WNB 29 includes a PID temperature sensor, a microprocessor, and a self-diagnostic system to quickly detect abnormalities. In case of malfunction, a mechanical temperature limiter (Class 1 TB) automatically cuts off the heating if the temperature exceeds the maximum by 30 °C, while an electronic safety system shuts down the device if the actual temperature rises 10 °C above the setpoint.
Its exterior is made of structured stainless steel, while the interior chamber is constructed from AISI 304 stainless steel with stamped guide grooves for easy cleaning—meeting hygiene standards for laboratory use. With compact overall dimensions (818 x 343 x 516 mm), the unit integrates easily on benchtops, requiring a safety clearance of 80 mm around and 750 mm above.
Thanks to its reliability, built-in safety features, and 29-liter capacity, the Memmert WNB 29 is an essential tool for pharmaceutical, clinical, biological, or industrial laboratories.
