LC-2060C 3D: Liquid chromatography with PDA detection
The Shimadzu LC-2060C 3D is a state-of-the-art liquid chromatography system designed to meet the demands of modern laboratories for precision, reliability and analytical flexibility. Featuring a diode array detector (PDA), it covers a wide wavelength range from 190 to 800 nm with a spectral resolution of 1.4 nm, enabling accurate compound identification and comprehensive spectral analysis. The PDA detector offers excellent linearity up to 2 AU, low drift (≤ 500 × 10⁻⁶ AU/h) and low noise (≤ ±3 × 10⁻⁶ AU), ensuring reproducible results even under variable conditions.
Optimised performance for demanding environments
The LC-2060C 3D is designed to offer exceptional stability thanks to dual thermal control (TC-Optics and flow cell), minimising the effects of ambient temperature fluctuations. Its dual parallel piston pump unit ensures flow accuracy of ≤ ±1% or ≤ ±2 µL/min (depending on specified conditions), with an adjustable flow range of 0.0001 to 10 mL/min. It supports maximum pressures of up to 70 MPa for low flow rates, ensuring compatibility with UHPLC columns.
The column oven uses a forced air circulation method to maintain temperatures from 10 to 90°C, with an accuracy of ±0.1°C. It can accommodate up to three 300 mm columns or six 100 mm columns, and an optional unit allows low-temperature analysis (down to -15°C).
Intelligent automation and high sampling capacity
The LC-2060C 3D autosampler offers excellent reproducibility for injection volumes of less than 1 µL, with linearity > 0.9999 and ultra-low cross-contamination (< 0.0025%). It can process up to 1,536 samples thanks to its side racks, with a fast injection cycle of 14 seconds. The user interface is simplified by a colour touch screen, allowing guided maintenance and real-time visualisation of chromatograms, even without a computer.
The system incorporates analytical intelligence features such as automatic diagnostics, error management during data acquisition, and performance optimisation without human intervention. These capabilities enable high-quality data acquisition, regardless of the operator's skill level.
