Leddy bloo: High-performance neonatal phototherapy with LED technology
Leddy bloo is an innovative phototherapy device developed by Médipréma for the treatment of neonatal jaundice. Thanks to its selected blue LED technology, it offers a light intensity greater than 4 mW/cm², measured between 400 and 550 nm, ensuring optimal therapeutic effectiveness. The wavelength of 460 nm ±15 is specifically chosen to target bilirubin, facilitating its breakdown and elimination by the newborn's body.
This device stands out for its ability to cover a large irradiation area (500 x 300 mm), ensuring uniform exposure of the baby's body. It can be used in two configurations: placed directly on the incubator canopy or mounted on a mobile stand with adjustable height and swivel hood. This modularity allows it to be perfectly adapted to different hospital environments and the specific needs of neonatal care.
Ergonomics and safety for healthcare professionals
The Leddy bloo is designed to facilitate the work of medical staff while ensuring the safety of the infant. Its cover is equipped with two handles for quick and precise positioning. The digital display allows the exposure time to be programmed and the use of the LEDs to be monitored thanks to an integrated counter. A standby function allows the treatment to be temporarily interrupted without moving the device, facilitating intermediate care.
A white LED observation light is integrated into the hood, allowing visual monitoring of the baby without interrupting treatment. In addition, a red light halo helps to position the infant correctly under the blue light source, thus optimising the effectiveness of phototherapy.
Medical compliance and French manufacture
The Leddy bloo is a Class IIa medical device, compliant with CE 0459 standards. It is manufactured in France, guaranteeing rigorous design and manufacturing quality. Its noise level of less than 40 dB(A) ensures a calm environment for the baby. With a power consumption of 100 VA and a universal power supply (110-240V / 50-60Hz), it can be easily integrated into any healthcare facility.
Its compact design (575 x 315 x 122 mm) and light weight (4 kg) make it easy to transport and install. The mobile stand model is equipped with five swivel castors with brakes, ensuring great manoeuvrability without compromising stability.
