Legendair® by Airox – Excellence in home ventilation, designed for real life
The Legendair®, designed by Airox, is much more than just a lung ventilator: it is a portable piece of medical technology, designed to support patients in their daily lives, both at home and on the move. This Class IIb device is intended for invasive or non-invasive assisted ventilation for adults and children weighing more than 5 kg who suffer from chronic or acute respiratory conditions such as COPD, neuromuscular diseases or restrictive syndromes.
The Legendair® offers a full range of ventilation modes: pressure support (PSV S/ST), pressure control (VPC/VPAC), volume control (VC/VAC), controlled assisted ventilation (VACI), and even target volume ventilation. The latter ensures a stable tidal volume, even in pressure mode, thanks to an intelligent algorithm that automatically adjusts the inspiratory pressure. The result is more stable ventilation, improved night-time comfort and a reduced risk of hypoventilation.
With a noise level of less than 30 dBA, the Legendair® is one of the quietest ventilators in its class. Its sensitive trigger and high-precision flow and pressure sensors ensure optimal synchronisation with the patient's spontaneous breathing. The intuitive, backlit user interface provides quick access to settings, alarms and history.
Weighing only 4.5 kg, the Legendair® is easy to transport thanks to its dedicated bag. It has a built-in lithium-ion battery offering up to 10 hours of autonomy and can be powered via mains (115/230 V) or an external 24 V source (Open Pack®). Ideal for active patients or those in need of mobility.
The Legendair® has a comprehensive alarm system: customisable thresholds, active alarm display, time-stamped history of the last 9 events, and real-time monitoring of key parameters (Vti, Vte, frequency, FiO₂, I/E, IPAP, EPAP, etc.). It is also compatible with an external FiO₂ sensor, enabling accurate measurement of inspired oxygen (18–100%), with a flow rate of up to 15 l/min.
Designed to last, the Legendair® requires no turbine maintenance for 15,000 hours. It has an RS232 port for software updates and monitoring via the AIROX Communication software. The technical menu allows for quick diagnostics, sensor calibration, and access to patient/device hour meters.
