The high-resolution LED slit lamp and internal optics without a beam splitter provide a wide, clear view of the eye. The five-level magnification changer allows detailed visualisation of fine structures up to a global view of the fundus. Combined with a focal shift range of ±500 μm, this system offers precise control of the treatment plane while maintaining patient comfort.
In SLT mode, the system uses a low-energy 532 nm laser pulse that selectively targets pigmented cells in the trabeculum, triggering a natural immune response to improve aqueous humour drainage. This non-thermal, non-destructive and repeatable treatment is recognised as the first-line method for treating open-angle glaucoma. In vitreolysis mode, the dual targeting technology allows precise targeting of vitreous floaters while preserving the surrounding tissue.
Ergonomic and modular, the LIGHTLas SLT Deux-V is equipped with dual manual controls, an external chin rest for greater patient comfort, and a joystick-integrated firing system for increased precision. It can be supplemented with various modules such as the LIGHTLas 532, 577 or 810 to extend its capabilities to retinal photocoagulation, making this platform a true anterior and posterior treatment station.
