L12-3 by Philips - High-Performance Linear Probe for Vascular and Superficial Applications
The Philips L12-3 linear probe is a high-performance broadband transducer designed to provide optimal imaging for vascular, musculoskeletal, and small superficial structure examinations. Its architecture integrates 160 elements, enabling it to capture highly detailed images while ensuring excellent resolution and penetration suitable for diverse clinical contexts.
With a frequency range between 12 and 3 MHz, this probe strikes the perfect balance between resolution and depth of field, allowing for detailed observation of vascular structures, soft tissues, and joints. Its 38 mm aperture guarantees optimal field coverage, enabling precise analysis of examined areas.
The L12-3 is equipped with several advanced imaging modes that enhance image quality. Among them, two-dimensional (2D) imaging ensures a clear and contrasted representation of internal structures. Pulsed wave and color Doppler allow in-depth analysis of blood flow, essential for vascular evaluations such as carotid or peripheral vessel examinations. The Color Power Angio (CPA) mode provides enhanced detection of low-velocity flows, facilitating the precise diagnosis of vascular pathologies. Philips' SonoCT technology helps reduce artifacts while improving edge definition, while the adaptive XRES function dynamically optimizes images in real time by minimizing background noise.
Additionally, this probe is compatible with image-guided interventions, including biopsies, further enhancing its clinical versatility. However, it is not compatible with image fusion and navigation.
Thanks to its advanced design, the L12-3 provides healthcare professionals with a precise and reliable tool for detailed examinations, ensuring optimal patient care and high-quality diagnostic support.
