A High-Performance Probe for Precise Imaging
The Siemens VF13-5SP linear probe is designed to deliver optimal performance in examinations requiring detailed visualization of superficial tissues. With an extended frequency range from 4.3 to 13.0 MHz, it ensures excellent spatial resolution while maintaining sufficient penetration depth for precise analysis of vascular, musculoskeletal, and breast structures.
Its design incorporates frequency modulation technology with selectable frequency options in 2D (7.3, 8.9, and 11.4 MHz) and tissue harmonic imaging (THI) (9.4, 10.7, and 11.4 MHz). This flexibility allows imaging to be tailored to the specific needs of each patient and examination type.
Doppler signal optimization is achieved through selectable frequencies in color Doppler (6.2 and 7.3 MHz) and pulsed Doppler (6.2 and 7.3 MHz), ensuring smooth and precise representation of blood flow. The steering angle in 2D, color Doppler, and pulsed Doppler modes can reach ±12°, providing additional adaptability to optimize incidence angles and enhance image quality.
Featuring 128 elements, the VF13-5SP offers a maximum field of view of 49 mm and a display depth of up to 60 mm, ideal for applications in breast, musculoskeletal, and superficial vascular imaging. Its 13 mm x 35 mm footprint and 25.6 mm array length ensure optimal maneuverability, facilitating examinations in restricted access areas.
The VF13-5SP is compatible with several Siemens ultrasound systems, including the ACUSON X300 (premium edition and standard), ACUSON X500, ACUSON CV70, as well as the SONOLINE G60 S, G50, and Elegra systems. This versatility makes it a strategic choice for imaging centers aiming to maximize equipment compatibility.
Its ergonomic design and lightweight construction allow for prolonged use without discomfort for the practitioner. The flexible cable provides great freedom of movement, thereby improving the precision and quality of examinations performed.
