M6 Portable Ultrasound System: Diagnostic Accuracy in the Palm of your Hand
Developed by Mindray to meet the growing need for mobility in hospitals, the M6 is a compact ultrasound scanner that combines clinical efficiency with ease of use. Designed for maximum portability, it comes in the form of a lightweight laptop that is easy to transport thanks to its ergonomic trolley and built-in battery offering over an hour and a half of continuous use. Its practical size does not compromise its performance: the M6 features a 15-inch HD LCD screen, a 1 TB internal hard drive and the ability to connect up to three probes simultaneously via an expansion module.
Bedside examinations become more intuitive with tools such as iTouchâ„¢ for automatic image optimisation, iClearâ„¢ for speckle noise reduction, and iBeamâ„¢ for improved contrast resolution through spatial synthesis. These technologies enable clear, detailed images to be captured even in the most complex environments. The M6 is ideal for general imaging, obstetrics, gynaecology, cardiology and emergency care.
The solution includes a comprehensive set of automated measurements to reduce exam time and minimise operator dependence, including Auto IMT, Auto LV, Smart OB and Smart Doppler. Features such as Free Xros M and TDI QA ensure detailed analysis of myocardial structures. In gynaecology and obstetrics, it enables transvaginal visualisation up to 180°, with customised foetal growth curves and tools such as Z-score for foetal heart function assessment.
In terms of connectivity, the M6 has a complete DICOM solution, direct image transfer via iStorage, and mobile compatibility thanks to the MedSight app. It also offers a fast start-up response for emergency situations, with operating modes adapted to critical protocols such as FAST (Focused Assessment with Sonography for Trauma).
The M6 is built to last. Its metal alloy housing is shock and splash resistant, making it reliable even in unstable or mobile environments. It can accommodate a wide range of specialised transducers, from high-frequency linear to 4D volume transducers, for maximum flexibility in the clinic.
