MagFuge®: Dual-function performance for your laboratory

The MagFuge® from Heathrow Scientific is the first unit in the industry to combine a high-speed centrifuge and a high-performance magnetic stirrer in a single compact device. This revolutionary concept offers considerable space savings, while reducing equipment costs and improving laboratory productivity. Thanks to this unique design, users benefit from a complete solution for their liquid separation and stirring needs, without compromising on quality or performance.

On the one hand, the high-speed centrifuge reaches speeds of up to 12,500 rpm, meeting the requirements of the most common protocols in molecular biology, cell analysis and chromatography. Its flexible programming in terms of speed and duration, rapid ramp-up, controlled braking and multiple rotors included allow immediate adaptation to different tube formats (from 0.2 mL to 5 mL). It also ensures user safety thanks to integrated sensors that stop operation in the event of imbalance, open lid or incorrect rotor.

On the other hand, the integrated magnetic stirrer can handle volumes of up to 3 litres, with a speed accuracy of 50 to 2,500 RPM. It offers several stirring modes – clockwise, counterclockwise and oscillating – for optimal homogenisation, even for viscous or sensitive solutions. Its powerful motor maintains a stable temperature, ensuring sample integrity during prolonged use. The supplied stirring bars, made of rare earth magnets with PTFE coating, ensure high chemical compatibility and exceptional resistance.

The intuitive user interface, equipped with a backlit digital display and a single selection button, simplifies cycle programming and improves workflow efficiency. No tools are required to change the rotor, making operation smooth and uninterrupted. The chemical-resistant ABS and polycarbonate housing, coupled with an ergonomic design, facilitates cleaning and maintenance, extending the life of the device.
