Automated culture media preparation: efficiency and precision
The Masterclave® 09 is an automated culture media preparer developed by bioMérieux, with over 30 years of expertise in the manufacture of laboratory equipment. This compact model is designed to meet the needs of microbiology laboratories for the production of sterile, fertile and reproducible media. It can prepare between 1 and 9 litres of agar or broth media with perfect homogeneity thanks to its patented magnetic stirrer.
Temperature regulation is provided by a microprocessor-based control system, guaranteeing accuracy of ±0.5°C in the stabilised phase. This precision is essential to prevent overheating of the medium and ensure consistent quality, even for large volumes. The Masterclave® 09 also features core temperature monitoring, ensuring optimal sterilisation.
Maximum safety and ergonomics designed for laboratories
Safety is at the heart of the Masterclave® 09 design. It is equipped with an assisted lid with automatic locking above 80°C, reducing the risk of burns and accidental handling. The safety valve system and closing mechanism ensure safe use, even during high-temperature cycles.
The appliance's ergonomic design makes it easy to use on a daily basis: easy opening and closing, simplified cleaning and an alphanumeric display with an intuitive keypad. The Masterclave® 09 is also compatible with an optional transport trolley for increased mobility in the laboratory.
Traceability, customisation and GLP compliance
The Masterclave® 09 offers up to 40 customisable programmes, including simple, two-step and special cycles. This flexibility allows the preparation to be adapted to the specific needs of each laboratory. The distribution temperature can be set between 25 and 80°C, ideal for adding sensitive supplements such as blood, antibodies or antibiotics.
For complete traceability, an optional printer allows real-time printing of the temperature curve. Unlike thermal printers, printouts can be archived for long-term storage. The device complies with good laboratory practice (GLP) and comes with a dedicated manual and quality assurance documents.
The Masterclave® 09 can also be used as a 12-litre autoclave or water bath, offering additional versatility. Its robust design, small footprint and ability to produce high-quality media make it a cost-effective investment for any laboratory looking to optimise its production.
